Welcome to The Full Time Whistle, Grandstand's less than serious round up of the day's action in Brazil, on and off the field.

Goal of the day:Surprise, surprise, awful Brazilian defending had a lot to do with our goal of the day in the third wholesale jordan shoes place play off in Brasilia.

Three minutes in, the Dutch put the ball in the box and crossed it from the byline, David "Headless Chook" Luiz headed the ball straight to Daley Blind, who gratefully accepted the gift and hit the ball high into the net to make it 2 0.

Skip to 1:26 in our highlights package, and you can see the goal of the day.

Despite covering the tournament at great depth for nearly five weeks, we have somehow missed out on a whole group that has been hiding wholesale nhl jerseys under our noses.

We bring you North Korean TV news, that great bastion of journalism, which has informed its audience about the great performances of North Korea in Brazil.

That's right, North Korea, who last we checked were not among the 32 participants but according to the news services North Korean TV, they have beaten Japan 7 0, USA 4 0 and China 2 0 in a glorious group stage.

The video (right) includes a great photoshopped image of North Korean leader Kim Jong un on the big screen waving to crowds at the FIFA fan fest at Copacabana Beach.

Well done, guys, but what's next the real story on the moon landing?

Van Gaal makes it a perfect 23 for the DutchDutch coach Louis van Gaal has shown he's quite prepared to make unorthodox substitutions in this World Cup and he kept one last surprise for the end of the game this morning.

Van Gaal had made headlines for substitutions which led to goals earlier in the tournament, and he pulled a master stroke in the quarter final, when he brought on reserve keeper Tim Krul with 30 seconds left in extra time against Costa Rica.

Krul went on to star in the penalty shootout which sent the Dutch through to the last four.

Today, van Gaal left it cheap ray-ban sunglasses until stoppage time to bring on third choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm, in the process setting a World Cup record.

The switch meant that for the first time ever, a World Cup side had used all 23 players in its squad in the finals.

Well done, LvG, now it's off to Manchester United you go.

LeBron turns up in Rio ahead of finalNBA star LeBron James has joined the World Cup party, turning up in Rio de Janeiro ahead of tomorrow's final between Germany and Argentina.

In his first appearance since announcing he was returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, James was the centre of attention as he chatted to a group of awe struck Brazilian basketballers.

James, who owns a minority stake in Premier League side Liverpool, said he was glad to come to Rio for the first time, the city that will host the Olympics in two years' time.

"It's the ultimate sport. You have to play as a team," James said of the World Cup.

"The NBA finals is the ultimate for basketball. This is the ultimate for football."

It's nice to see him in town for the big game, but it's fair to say that Brazil could have used his height and movement a little earlier in World Cup 2014.

The Klinsmann AwardAs expected, there were a few late entries in our Klinsmann Award for best dive at the World Cup.

Surprisingly, however, not all of them came from Arjen Robben.

Robben did a few, but none really wholesale mlb jerseys captured the judges' imagination. Maicon came close to doing a "phantom tackle' dive, but today's winner is Oscar, who was challenged in the penalty area by Daley Blind.

Now, to be fair, there was contact, and it could have been a penalty but seriously, Oscar went before acceptances, launching himself before he even made contact and doing a slow rotation in the air like the old space shuttles before coming to rest in the box.
